Vermont Ambassador Training Workshop - Bennington Site

Welcome to registration for the November 12, 2013 Ambassador Training workshop (noon to 4:00 p.m.) in Bennington, Vt.

Designed to help businesses provide excellent tourism information to their patrons, this workshop is designed for front-line employees and their managers.

The training workshop features travel experts who will help you be able to answer visitor questions about everything from things to do, places to visit, and where to stay, to getting a fishing license, finding restaurants, and buying local products. You'll learn about what's new, what's popular, where to find information, and how to stay up-to-date with what's happening all over Vermont.

For your convenience, this is a state-wide video-conference workshop. Facilitators and speakers will be at each of the three locations - Montpelier, Rutland and Bennington - and all locations will be connected live on camera through Vermont Interactive Technologies.

Workshop attendees and businesses completing requirements will become Certified Vermont Ambassadors. Certified Vermont Ambassador Information Centers receive a number of benefits, including an on-going free supply of the printed state-wide tourism guides and inclusion in the Vermont Ambassador Info Centers mobile website.

Workshop speakers will be representing the following travel and tourism organizations: Rutland and Bennington Area Chambers of Commerce, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Vermont Arts Council, Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, Vermont Department of State Parks, Vermont Department of Tourism Marketing , Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, Vermont Information Center Division , Vermont Byways and Vermont Ski Areas Association.
