Documented steps are taken to safeguard information according to established security standards and procedures and we continually evaluate the newest technology for protecting information.

Our secure socket layer (SSL) software uses state-of-the-art 128-bit encryption to ensure that your personal and financial information cannot be intercepted during transmission to our server. All information requests pass through hardware and software security firewalls. Encrypted personal information includes credit card numbers as well as social security numbers and banking information.

Do I need to download any software to use this service?

No. All you need is a graphics-enabled browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox). The web site is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit cards and debit cards.

Who can use this service?

Both non-custodial parents and employers can use this service to make child support payments to the Vermont Office of Child Support.

What is the fee to use this service?

There is a convenience fee of $5.00 to use this online payment service, which is provided by a third party in partnership with the State of Vermont and the Office of Child Support. The fee is separate from the child support being paid, is added to each payment, and is used to cover the cost of maintaining the online service. The State does not receive any part of this fee.

If I'm unwilling to pay the convenience fee, can I still use this service?

No. This fee is used to cover the cost of maintaining the online service and is non-negotiable.

Will I be charged a cash advance fee?

No. Child support payments are treated like retail purchases and not cash advances.

When will the Office of Child Support (OCS) receive my payment?

Your payment will be posted the next business day if paying before 3pm eastern time. Payments made after 3pm eastern time, will be posted within 2-3 business days. For example: Payments made after 3 pm eastern time on Friday, on Saturday, or Sunday will be posted to your case on Tuesday unless Monday or Tuesday is a holiday.

Can I use more than one card?

Yes, you can use more than one card. But you will need to complete separate transactions for each partial payment and each payment is subject to the convenience fee.

Will I receive a payment confirmation number?

Yes. You will receive a confirmation number on your receipt, which you can print. The receipt will also be sent to the email address you provided during the online payment process.

What do I do with my payment confirmation number?

Your payment will be posted to your account based on the Social Security Number and Case Number provided. However, you should always keep a copy of your receipt with the confirmation number.

Will I receive points from my card type?

Card rewards and points are issued by your card issuer. To determine if you are eligible, please contact your card issuer.

What if I want to cancel a payment after I receive a confirmation number?

Payments cannot be cancelled.

If my card declines, who should I contact?
