| Summary: | In 2008, the Vermont Childhood Lead Poisoning Law was updated and required the Department of Health to write rules to regulate physicians that provide primary care to children six years of age and under. The Rule requires primary care providers to both test blood lead levels and report results to the Department of Health for Vermont children ages one and two years. It also requires any laboratory that analyzes blood samples of Vermont residents for lead levels to report results to the department. The Rule describes how the department will monitor compliance with testing and reporting requirements. |
